I had dream in which I saw Rupert Murdoch. My two brothers and I were on a trip. We were staying in a room in bunk beds. We went out to dinner at a place that was fancy but was not. My boyfriend, the designer, recently traveled to New York City with his fellow “100-mile design challenge” classmates for the International Contemporary Furniture Fair—North America’s premiere showcase for design. Along with a companion design university from Baltimore, Sohroosh and his classmates showcased their functional design projects focused on sourcing 100% of the materials from within a 100-mile radius of their respective city. As such, student faced the challenge of eliminating plastics, metals and conventional fabrics in exchange for utilizing creative new materials like hemp cloth, bee’s wax and cat tails.

Thanks, Lisa :)
